Bus
Bus 279 between Killarney and Cahersiveen/Waterville passes Caitins. Check the latest timetable here. Ask the driver to stop at Caitins in Mountain Stage. There's a welcoming cup of tea on arrival for anyone travelling by public transport!
Train
Trains from Dublin or Cork can be booked here. Alight at Killarney, where you can get a bus to Kells.
Road
If you're driving, follow the Ring of Kerry through Killorglin and Glenbeigh. Continue towards Cahersiveen. The road turns inland briefly but then opens out with Dingle Bay on your right and the mountain on your left. Continue past the old railway viaduct and Caitins is on your left, shortly before the turning for Kells. You can't miss it.
If you're driving from the Cahersiveen direction, Caitins is on the right a few minutes after Pat's Craft Shop, shortly after the third turn-off for Kells.
Car Ferry
If you travel to Ireland by car-ferry to Cork, Rosslare or Dublin, follow signs for Killarney and then take the Ring of Kerry as described above.
Private Boat
If you're travelling by boat, there are visitor moorings in Kells Bay. Caitins is half an hours' walk from the beach. Local taxis are available.
Air
Visit the website for Kerry Airport for details of flights in and out of Kerry. There are buses from the airport to Killarney, from where you can get a bus to Caitins. Car hire is available at the airport if required.
